Wednesday's "Nap Time" Question

Every Wednesday we will post a question related to Monday's topic. We hope to start a virtual place through the comments section for you all to interact, share ideas, even pray for one another. Please grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and chime in to get the "conversation" going!

On Monday Katie helped us remember why we do what we do. She talked about vocational ministry giving her the blessings of being "rich in faith" and "rich in relationships". We know this doesn't come without sacrifice. What has helped you through the years to "stay the course" in ministry through the harder times? What blessings have you seen God bestow on you and your family through vocational ministry? Or maybe you are in a season of asking God "why" and "how" is this all going to work - please share whatever is on your heart! We can all relate!
Please "hover" over the word "comment" below and click on it to share your thoughts on this topic. Thanks!

  1. One of the verses/promises that encourages me is mark 10:29 where Jesus says "Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

I'm not certain exactly what it means or how it plays out, but I think Jesus has promised that as we sacrifice homes, chooses of where to live, even relationships that he promises to provide abundantly for our needs.

    1. Thanks for sharing, Alexis. I have seen God fulfill that verse over and over again in our lives with the many moves we have made for ministry. It is a great one to trust in! Have a blessed day!
